Oslo's "NECESSARY" (formerly known as NIC or Necessary Intergalactic Cooperation) join forces with Ohm Resistance for their third full length album. A large unit live dub group, NECESSARY come armed with former Swans/Prong/Godflesh drummer Ted Parsons, and Oslo musicians Matti Hansen, Markus O. Klyve, Andreas Mork, UK based DJ Tony F. Wilson, and Salvador Sanchez. The album's sonic imagery spans the globe, from Scandinavian jazz to distort bass Dub to music inspired by faraway lands.

Manning the producer's chair for the "Voldsløkka" album is Ohm Resistance favorite Justin K. Broadrick, of Godflesh/Jesu fame – using his alchemist resources to invoke dub inna Northern style. Bass heavy, riff driven, tight drums, delay in the modern age conjured from long jam sessions in the refreshing cold of Oslo. Voldsløkka gets the message across simply – the group communication dynamic is translated successfully by skilled production – an ice cold groove session not unlike the city it was created in.
